THE FIRST VISIT
In line with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s guidelines, we suggest you bring your child in by age 1 for their first dental visit. However, if you have an older child, don’t despair. It’s never too late to start their journey toward a healthy smile. The first visit is as much about your child getting used to the dental office and our team as it is about evaluating their oral health. It can take young children some time to get used to dental visits. As pediatric dental specialists, we’re here to support them and encourage positive oral health habits. It’s our aim to help your child create a lifelong positive association with dental care.
No matter your child’s age, our team will always prioritize their comfort and well-being. Young children are welcome to sit on their parent’s lap for a knee-to-knee evaluation. Older kids who are more comfortable can sit in the big chair independently.
